KWOK CHAN KUNG FU SOCIETY

Sensei Leroy Throop is a long-standing student of Sifu Kwok Chan and member of the KWOK CHAN KUNG FU SOCIETY.
This was the Northern Shaolin Kung Fu, or in Cantonese, the Bak Sil Lum Gung Fu, derived from Grandmaster Ku Yu Cheung.
Grandmaster Ku Yu Cheung taught Master Yim Sheung Mo who in turn taught Mr. Kwok Chan .
For a while Sensei Throop hosted the KWOK CHAN KUNG FU SOCIETY in his own club while Sifu kwok Chan was transitioning from a previous rental location in the early-mid 1990's.
Sensei Throop also included the "Seeds of Tai Chi" as part of the warm down exercise following karate training and taught Sifu Chan's Bok Sil Lum (Northern Shaolin) and Yang style Tai Chi Chuan long form.
Eventually Sifu Chan retired from active teaching in Kingston Ontario Canada, and retired to Toronto Ontario Canada.
Sensei Throop being the most senior student of Sifu Chan and having previously been accepted into Sifu Chan's Kung Fu Family (in the early 1980's) continues his legacy of the KWOK CHAN KUNG FU SOCIETY.
